ME

Hello,

I am Alex Rose, enterprise UX evangelist, design leader and currently Head of UX & Design at huddle.com. I am passionate about crafting beautiful, usable, products, services and brands that deliver meaningful business value through delightful experience.

Here's how...

Drawing on 10+ years of experience in UX and UI Design roles working for startups, FTSE 500's and cutting edge tech companies, I work to continually champion UCD methods to define the sweet spot between business goals, user needs and technology, using a proven blend of iterative design techniques for discovery, design and validation, defining measures of success and ROI.

Great article on webdesignerdepot.com discussing how Google’s new visual design language ‘Material Design’ has an impact on the future of web design… “User Interface is heading towards unity with the natural world. If this trend continues, and as technology evolves, we may soon witness a world where UI is so intertwined with our surrounding that it is indistinguishable […]

BBC… You Rock Style Guides, Bravo!

The BBC, always a great place to see how things are done properly from a scalable, innovative, web/UX/UI  design stand point. The BBC have been hot on defining and publicizing style guides, guidelines and standards for some time and are something I refer to often and make use of where my own projects are concerned. The evolution of Web standards at the BBC culminates in what […]

Usabilla

User Experience. Where has it come from, and why is it here?

I have been a practitioner of UX disciplines since around 2007/2008, a time when we didn’t really have the backing and support from the wider community to enforce it as UX , just sensible problem solving and design validation really. Fortunately for me, back then I worked under the guise of a very forward thinking […]
